Chatcubie

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026

This page explains what information Chatcubie collects, why, and how it's used. We try to collect only what's needed to make the app work.

2. How we use your information

Your data is used solely to operate the chat, calling, group, and wallet features of the app — for example, storing messages so you and the recipient can see them, or showing your online status to your contacts. We don't sell your data or share it with advertisers.

3. Who can see what

Direct messages are visible only to you and the recipient. Group messages are visible to group members. Your email and phone number are private by default — only visible to others if you explicitly set them to "Public" in your Profile settings. Administrators of this app can view account and usage information (like message counts, join dates) for moderation purposes.

4. Data retention

Your data is kept as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, your profile, messages, and related data are removed from the database.

5. Your rights

You can update or delete your personal information at any time from your Profile page. To permanently delete your account and all associated data, visit our dedicated Delete Account page (also available in-app under Settings → Privacy and Security → Delete Account). You can also download a copy of your data ("Export my data") from your Profile settings.

6. Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you logged in. If analytics (like Google Analytics) is enabled by the site administrator, it may use cookies to understand aggregate usage — you'll see a cookie notice if this applies.

7. Security

Passwords are stored using one-way hashing (bcrypt) and never in plain text. That said, no system is 100% secure, and you should use a unique password for this app.

8. Children's privacy

This app isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect data from children under the age required by local law to use messaging services without parental consent.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy occasionally. Significant changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
